Description
So in Art recently, we've made our own Art-Deco prints and I wanted to show you guys mine. 
First we looked at other pieces by various artists before doing our own drawings of man made objects and compiling shapes and parts from each together to create a single, repetitive print design. Once we had our designs, we used tracing paper to transfer them onto lino blocks and carved out the lines using lino cutting tools. With our finished printing blocks, we did a two-block print on an A4 sheet of card before eventually moving onto a six-block A3 piece. When we had finished that, we took our two-block ones and scanned them in to manipulate in Photoshop with layers and filters. For my first time in Photoshop, I'm quite proud of what I have so far. Everything here (including the background which I shall separate into different layers so I can change the colours of each section) is done by me and will hopefully look spectacular in the finished piece. Obviously I've still got to go over quite a lot with the magic wand tool, but when I'm done with this, I'll upload the finished one as well as the regular two-block print and put them both up for sale as prints!
